We're delighted to announce our short film Undercurrent is awarded in the name of the Special Mention for Best Directing of the 2nd edition of Giornate di Cinema Queer / Queer Days.
The jury has written a statement about the motivations behind their decision:
For the maturity and the accuracy with which the film enacts an encounter that, while being unable to rely on words, finds the synthesis of a complex moment in History in powerful images.
The Director's message to this honor:
Thank you the jury and the audience of Giornate di Cinema Queer, it's my very first directing award. I would like to dedicate the honor to my beloved actors, crew members and my family. For all the queer directors in this tough film industry, keep on experimenting and proud of yourself.

Queer Days- Giornate di Cinema Queer
The second edition of Queer Days – Giornate di Cinema e Cultura Queer is organized by Associazione CineQueer, Zalib and Frocya. Queer Days is a project that aims to promote the spread of cinema with a gay, lesbian, trans and bisexual theme (lgbt +). The goal is to create an environment of exchange between filmmakers and the public through screenings, meetings and debates. A "home" where we want to present a transversal programming that mainly focuses on the enhancement of independent cinematography linked to sexuality, the body, gender identities and consolidation.

Taiwan Literature Base
Commissioned by the National Museum of Taiwan Literature, is the first venture of Taiwan Interminds Publishing into cultural venue operations. After restoration of the entire campus, the former Qidong Poetry House was reorganized as TLB. The earlier community cultural asset preservation campaign accumulated rich local stories and historical materials, which were used as the basis for developing the virtual TLB spokespersons "Qi Qi" and "A Fei". It is hoped they will help visitors make for themselves deep, personal connections between the TLB venue and Taiwan literature. In addition, it is hoped that this diligently conserved site will become an active part of the larger community and play a central role in recreating new literary and cross-domain adaptations, cultivating a broader and deeper market for literature, and promoting and refining distinctly Taiwanese values.
Back to da house, we're in Taiwan International Queer Film Festival this October. With many excellent Taiwan and Chinese LGBT+ films, our short film will be showed on location in Taipei and online.
Time (On Location)：10/11 (MON) 10:30 w/QA session @ Shin Kong Cinemas
Time (Online)：10/15(WED)、10/21(THU)、10/31(SUN) all day @ kktix

Queer East Film Festival
Launched in 2020, Queer East is a new film festival that aims to amplify the voices of Asian communities in the UK, who have often been excluded from mainstream discourse, despite Asians being one of the country’s fastest-growing ethnic groups. Queer East seeks to facilitate a better understanding of the richness of queer Asian heritage, and to bridge the cultural distance between the UK public and the region. Featuring works made by international filmmakers and Asian diaspora communities, and looking to foster authentic voices, the festival explores a wide range of perspectives, showcasing stories that intersect with personal experiences, cultural norms, and socio-political transitions.

Since we have launched our sibling brand "Cabine de la Lumière" (光庵), we're thinking about how to emerge the services into one, so the Chinese name "光庵" remains with "LA VIE CINE", here the new logo "光庵 LA VIE CINE" comes in a rush!
You still could see the grey old logo of LA VIE CINE in our past works, yet the site and social accounts will use the new one for future marketing. The big change would be the official Facebook page turns into 光庵-LA VIE CINE, make sure you "like!" us for the upcoming news.
We're selected in two of the Top 5 LGBT film festivals of the world!!!
