We're delighted to announce our short film Undercurrent is awarded in the name of the Special Mention for Best Directing of the 2nd edition of Giornate di Cinema Queer / Queer Days.
The jury has written a statement about the motivations behind their decision: For the maturity and the accuracy with which the film enacts an encounter that, while being unable to rely on words, finds the synthesis of a complex moment in History in powerful images. The Director's message to this honor: Thank you the jury and the audience of Giornate di Cinema Queer, it's my very first directing award. I would like to dedicate the honor to my beloved actors, crew members and my family. For all the queer directors in this tough film industry, keep on experimenting and proud of yourself.
